Has your kid ever expressed the desire to be on stage? Or do you find them singing and dancing along to every song while watching a movie? Musical Theatre might be a great fit for your student! Musical Theatre lessons can teach your student so much more than singing, dancing, and acting. It can instill things you might not learn anywhere else.
Responsibility
In school, if you don’t remember what you learned in lessons or practice you might get reprimanded. Musical Theatre lessons are different if you don’t learn your lines, it will impact your team. Being in production you are a part of a team, in which you are relying on each member to memorize their part and work together. It is so important for each member to see their role is important and they matter. No matter how big or small the production is!
Develop Their Sense of Self and Identity
Every kid is different, and some might be slow to come out of their shells. Theatre allows them the time and space to do that in a safe and creative environment! Acting can be a great release and taking on new characters can help children feel safe while becoming more outspoken.
Fun and Friendship
Kids can make friends anywhere! It is great for students to make friends outside of their normal friend group at school. Classmates might change from term to term, but this helps broaden their horizons and they can still make lifelong friends. With new shows, each session and new material to learn this will keep everyone on their toes and they are sure to have a good time.
