Tim Aulner

Horn/ Trumpet/ Baritone/ Piano

Tim is a French Horn performer and private instructor in the Lincoln and Omaha area as well as the Adjunct Instructor of Applied French horn lessons at Concordia University Nebraska in Seward. He has a wide array of playing experience, having played principal horn in the UNL Symphony Orchestra, UNL Wind Ensemble, and UNL Symphony Band, as well as second, third, and fourth horn in the UNL Symphony Orchestra. Tim has explored settings beyond large ensembles to include many performances with horn quartets, horn choirs, Quinte(t)ssential Brass quintet, and wind quintets. He has made solo appearances competing at the Nebraska Music Teachers Association Competition, the International Horn Competition of American, and the Mid-South Horn Workshop. Tim earned a Bachelors of Music degree in Horn Performance and a Masters of Music in Horn Performance from the University of Nebraska Lincoln. He studied under Dr. Alan Mattingly. Tim has appeared in performance with the Omaha Symphony, Orchestra Omaha, Hastings Symphony, Plymouth Brass, and Husker Horn Choir. He also loves to teach young musicians in the region. When not playing or teaching music, Tim loves to cycle and spend time outside with his wife, daughter, and golden retriever.
