Wedding Dance Lessons

Make your first dance one to remember at Omaha School of Music & Dance. Whether you want a fully choreographed routine or simply want to feel comfortable and confident dancing together, our instructors will create lessons that fit your personality, music, and vision for your big day.

We offer two approaches to wedding dance lessons:

• Choreographed – Learn a custom routine to your wedding song that can be simple, elegant, or more detailed depending on your comfort level.
• Ballroom Basics – Learn easy partner dancing skills so you can confidently freestyle throughout your reception and at future weddings and events.

If you’re unsure which option is best, many couples choose ballroom basics so they can comfortably freestyle during the reception. Choreography can also be kept very simple and beginner-friendly. Our goal is to help you feel relaxed, confident, and connected on the dance floor.

We also teach Father/Daughter, Mother/Son, and other special dances.

Most couples complete wedding dance lessons in about 5 weeks, with lessons ending approximately 1 week before the wedding day. This timing helps keep everything fresh without adding last-minute stress.

Private lessons are available throughout the week and on Saturdays.

Every couple is different. While our standard recommendation is a 5-lesson package, couples looking for simple ballroom skills may be able to do fewer lessons. We are happy to customize a lesson plan based on your goals and timeline.

Private dance lessons can be scheduled throughout the week or Saturday. Our private dance lessons are 30-45 minutes. Usually, you will need 4-5 lessons to learn everything you’ll need for the big day!

Wedding dance lesson packages are $340, paid upfront, and include the full 5-week lesson series for you and your partner. Customized lesson packages may be available for couples who need fewer lessons.
