Do you know a kid who can’t sit still? Are you tired of chasing your kid around without them getting tired? Well, have we got an opportunity for your kid! Tumbling classes are where it’s at! Your kid can run around for 45 minutes and jump and somersault the afternoon away! There are so many benefits to tumbling, it’s amazing! Here are a couple of skills that kids can gain through the magic of tumbling!
Tumbling first and foremost is the most beneficial way for kids to learn how to develop strength, flexibility, momentum, and stability. Skills that are super important for a life of movement. In tumbling, you will learn how to somersault, which will establish flexibility. It’s super exciting for kids to feel the rush of being able to move their bodies in ways they never thought they could.
They will also learn how to do little jumps which will promote overall agility. Kids will develop strength in muscles they don’t even know they have! The benefit of gaining all this strength is definitely to help all over body health. A kid with strong muscles is a healthy kid! It seems obvious enough, but even the littlest bit of exercise 45 minutes a week will improve a child’s health immensely.
Tumbling will also teach kids the skill of learning how to fall. It seems weird to say “learn how to fall!” but the honest truth is that if you learn how to fall properly it will decrease the severity of the injury and could even prevent said injury from even happening! With all the agility and flexibility that kids gain from doing tumbling, they can find the proper way to land on their bodies without it resulting in pain.
A great skill that is acquired in being in tumbling class is stability. Kids learning the importance of stability, with a constant schedule and physical stability, will help them go far in life. Tumbling can help them “ground” themselves. Physically, they will learn to control their bodies and root themselves in a peaceful manner. It’s a great skill to learn at any age, so it’s awesome to get your kid ahead of the curve and have them learn it young.
Tumbling has so many benefits to it. To list them all would be hard since it’s exercise and we all know how beneficial any active activity can be. But did you know that tumbling can help you grow strong bones? It kind of ties in with the stability and agility section we talked about earlier.
Tumbling also can reduce depression, fun fact! I know that it isn’t very common in kids, but tumbling gives kids endorphins and endorphins make you happy! A happy kid is the coolest thing in the world, I think we can all agree on that.
Tumbling also can help improve self-confidence! Kids will be involved in group classes which helps their social skills. Being around other kids who are learning the same thing as them who are jumping and running around will get them comfortable doing active things around others. In tumbling, kids can see the progress they make in flexibility and strength and watch themselves grow physically and mentally!
Tumbling also helps promote healthy cognitive function. It teaches so much coordination that kids will be able to use throughout all aspects of life. It will stimulate their bodies and minds. Simple every task will become so much easier when their bodies are used to moving. Stamina will increase over time, the focus will also increase!
