According to Google, the number one instrument played in the world is the Piano. Here at Omaha School of Music and Dance, we have a great selection of options when it comes to playing the piano. We have private and group options that fit into any schedule.
Piano lessons are also offered to almost every age group. If you have a child that is at least 18 months, we have a group music class called Music Fun Time – this is a great introductory class to music in general – and the piano is seen and played at every lesson in this class setting. If your child is five or older they may also participate in private music lessons here at the school.
We work with you on finding a timeframe that works well with the student and the instructor. You may choose between 30, 45, and 60-minute private lessons. In our private lessons – the students work closely with the instructor and spend whatever time they need on each skill. Whether someone is learning piano for fun or an upcoming audition, our instructors are all professionally trained to meet the needs of you and/or your child. If you are wanting a group setting for a child, we also offer a class called Intro to Piano. The children work in a piano lab with one or two teachers at a time. Our instructors rotate between the children in the class and they also follow a strategically designed curriculum book that teaches them the fundamentals of playing the piano.
If you are an adult wanting to learn how to play or if you have played before and want to jump back into learning piano, we have options for you as well. Omaha School of Music and Dance also encourages students to showcase their talents by performing in the Spring music recital. This is a great opportunity for everyone to see what the students have worked so hard on throughout the year.
