Here at Omaha School of Music and Dance, drum lessons are some of the most preferred lessons by our students! Drums are a great introduction to the world of music and we have some very talented instructors who can help you get started.

Many people begin learning music through piano, which can focus more on notes and melodies, but drumming takes a different approach. Drums introduce students to rhythms and timing—some of the most important factors in playing music! Because of this, drum students are able to look at music from a different perspective than other types of musicians. They are more open-minded, more flexible in their skills, and even better learners in general!
Studies have shown that drumming can improve concentration both at home and in the classroom. Not only can drumming make you a better student, but it can also help you with stress relief. Drums are the perfect way to channel your thoughts and energy and release them through sound. Much like running, drumming can help to clear your mind, push yourself to new heights, and build confidence in yourself!
