Every mother dreams of seeing her little girl dolled up in a tutu, with her hair in that perfect bun, and those special satin shoes for twirling across the stage. They may imagine their little boy dancing with and lifting their partner in a beautifully coordinated movement, while the music softly swells in the background.

It’s said that Ballet training boosts coordination, flexibility, stamina and self-control. It can help correct posture misalignments, while leaping and jumping make the heart beat faster, and that boosts cardiovascular health. How cool is that? Something fun AND good for you? WOW!
Ballet exposes students to a combination of movement, music and performance. The National Dance Education Organization asserts that through that exposure, children enhance their sensory awareness, cognition — which includes attention, memory and learning — and overall consciousness. All of those help kids in school!
Children who do Ballet tend to be more confident, as a result of their training. With confidence comes the ability to meet people and make new friends. Sometimes they may go to the same school, and sometimes they may not. In many cases, they wouldn’t have had anything thing to talk about, but with common interests, new friendships are formed.
