Portia Reams is a choreographer and artist, creating in Omaha, Nebraska. Portia’s students have successfully performed a variety of dance genres on stage for years. She is devoted to supporting and encouraging people to push through limits, positively, at any age and stage of their life.
“Portia not only is a dance instructor at a dance studio (Omaha School of Music and Dance). But she also travels around Omaha and surrounding towns teaching dance through an organization that builds school partnerships. This is an enrichment dance and physical activity program. She is passionate about sharing the ways dance can be used for empowering individuals as they move their bodies and express themselves, freely.
She adores teaching students of all ages a variety of dance styles throughout the year. She also spends time in the summer teaching at dance and musical theater camps. In her spare time: she spends time with family and friends, attends dance competitions and shows at local theaters, designs interior spaces, and plans a variety of parties for people.”.
