Amanda Loomis is a choreographer, educator, and interdisciplinary artist based in Omaha, Nebraska. Known for her dynamic, award-winning work, Amanda has led ensembles to Grand Champion titles, Best Choreography awards, and countless “firsts” — including their first finals, nationals, and competitive appearances. She is passionate about working with dancers hungry to grow, and believes deeply in teaching young performers that confidence and determination can take them far.
In addition to her performance work, Amanda has a strong foundation in dance education. She spent five years as the Head of the Dance Department at the Omaha School of Music and Dance (OSMD) before stepping into her current role as the studio’s owner and creative director. Under her leadership, OSMD has become a proud member of More Than Just Great Dancing!®, a global network of studio owners committed to standards of excellence in education, leadership, and community impact.
Amanda also works for Inferno National Dance Competition, directing events nationwide and supporting dancers at every level of their journey. She continues to serve as a clinician and summer camp director for programs across the U.S., and remains actively engaged in freelance choreography.
When she’s not on the dance floor, Amanda is often in her painting studio, working on everything from set design to large-scale acrylics on canvas—bringing the same creativity and energy to visual art as she does to movement. Amanda has 2 dogs, 1 cat, and one tortoise…eventually. 🙂
